Pre-season Parent Meeting Notes:
In case you missed the meeting, or had any trouble hearing, here is what was covered:
Welcome all of our new families to the Red Hawks family and welcome back all of our returning players and their families! The off season has been a busy one, working on Bylaws, Budgets and updating our website, as well as navigating COVID. We are thrilled to be back on the field and look forward to a very successful season and school year for our athletes.

This year we are very fortunate and honored to have a full roster of teams at all ages, we are working on building our 5 and 6 year old team, including our coaching staff at that level.
League Communications:
The website is a great place for info! You can expect weekly email bulletins, Facebook updates, and to stay connected with your team via a Team App.
Watch for communications about weather determinations, which will usually be sent out at least 1 hour in advance of practice. Look for emails and posts about schedules, equipment and league events. Stay connected with your Team App to stay up to date on team specific info..
When at the field:
When parking, please utilize the parking lot of the school.
No smoking or vaping at any of our events. Please step away from the town field if necessary
Only Certified coaches, team moms and board members are permitted on the field.
Unless you are Heads Up Certified or a Board Member you must walk around the field for safety and Insurance reasons, we know everyone wants a great picture, but it is so important for the safety of our kids and staff.
Bathrooms, Field Clean up- The town allows us to use our fields at no charge with the understanding we keep the grounds as clean as we find them daily. Please make sure to bring home everything that you came with.
Parent/Guardian presence is very important. There are many times we may need parent/guardian support in handling situations of injury, illness, or behavior. Please plan to stay close to the field during all practices or make arrangements for someone else to supervise your child. In case of a weather-related issue, we need to be able to quickly clear the fields for safety.

What is a parent expected to provide for football?
Mouth guard- protective cup- Practice Pants- Cleats- Water
How should you address any general questions or concerns throughout the season?
General feedback or questions should first be directed to your team mom or Head Coach- Board is always available to discuss. Best Practice is to wait 24 hours before addressing any game day concerns, then discuss them with your coach.
Events & Fundraisers- We have lots of fundraising events coming up. Get dinner at BJ's steakhouse on Monday the 16th. You can even order to go. Just show them the flyer you got in your email.

Schedules: Game schedules will be finalized in the next week or so, we should have an idea very soon
More important dates:
-In person player certification will be in Hartford on the 21st/22nd- time and location to be announced-
-Jamborees- The following weekend- 28/29- time and location to be announced

Parents have the opportunity to order their football player a customer jersey with their last name on the back.
It costs $50, and you keep it.
The ordering process will be finalized in the coming week You will have the option to request a number, though it may not be guaranteed. If your requested number is not available, we will explore other options with you.
