Practice is an important part of preparing your cheerleader to safely and successfully participate in the program, including game days and competition.

We cheer for our teams in all kinds of weather so please be prepared that your cheerleader will practice and cheer in various elements including heat, cold and rain.

Attendance Policy:

We maintain a strict attendance policy to ensure the safety of our cheerleaders and to reinforce the commitment to the team.  Any cheerleader who misses more than 1 practice, will not be permitted to cheer in the game for that given week.

If a cheerleader is late by more than 30 minutes, that too will be considered an absence.

Practice schedule:
Practice is held weeknights 6-8 pm

Mon-Fri for the first 2 weeks for ALL cheerleaders, to obtain the required 20 hours of conditioning as mandated by Pop Warner rules.

After conditioning is complete, practices then split by team and reduce to a maximum of 6 hours per week. (as per Pop Warner rules)

Your team’s practice schedule for the season will be officially determined at the point when the teams are split by the Director of Cheer and the Head Coach.

Our Tiny Mite team practices 2 nights per week, for 1 hour

All other teams practice 3 nights per week, for 2 hours

Practices are held at Washington School field, 94 Cedar Street Manchester

*Location may change based on gym availability

Cheerleaders must be in proper practice attire to participate

(sneakers are required.  No sandals, denim or pajama pants)

If a cheerleader cannot participate, they are then absent from practice.

At the start of the season, cheer teams will be assigned a football team to cheer for the season

Home games are played at Manchester High School
Away games are played at other Pop Warner team fields affiliated with Southern Connecticut Pop Warner

Cheerleaders are expected to attend all games, and to arrive on time.  A late arrival may prevent a cheerleader from being able to participate.

Cheerleaders must be in proper game day uniform to participate.
